Markdown Reader is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect any of the following:

• Personal identification information
• Email addresses or contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data

2. How Your Data is Stored

All your data is stored locally on your device:

• Markdown Files: Files you import or create are stored in the app's local storage on your device.
• Reading History: Your file history is stored locally in an SQLite database on your device.
• Theme Preferences: Your selected reading theme is saved locally using AsyncStorage.

We have no access to your files or data. Nothing is sent to our servers because we don't have any servers.

3. Third-Party Services

Markdown Reader does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app functions entirely offline after installation.

4. Permissions

The app requires the following permissions:

• File Access: To allow you to import and read Markdown files from your device.
• Storage: To save your files and reading history locally on your device.

These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality and do not enable any data collection.

5. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your data is protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, etc.)
• We recommend keeping your device secure with a strong passcode
• You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app

6. Children's Privacy

Markdown Reader does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

7. Your Rights

Since we don't collect any data, there is no data for us to:

• Access or review
• Modify or correct
• Delete or export
• Share or sell

You have complete control over all your data, as it remains solely on your device.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

9. Open Source

Markdown Reader's privacy practices can be verified as the app may be open-sourced. You can review the code to confirm that no data collection occurs.
